Mitch Brightmore Takes Victory at Wild Willy’s Extreme

Mitch Brightmore  heads into the next round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship with another victory behind him, after taking the win at Wild Willy’s Extreme in Tong.

The X-Grip Racing Team rider lined up at the Parkwood Off Road Centre near Bradford for round six of the 2026 ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship, using the event as his final race preparation before heading to Sweden.

Extremely dry and dusty conditions made a strong start particularly important, and Mitch delivered with the holeshot, leading the first half of the opening lap.

Having not walked the course before the race, a wrong turn at the top of a hill briefly allowed Billy Bolt to move ahead. Mitch followed until a mistake from Bolt gave him the opportunity to regain the lead.

From there, Mitch began to find increasingly effective lines around the course and steadily extended his advantage.

His fastest lap of 14:57.89 made him the only Championship-class rider to break the 15-minute barrier, and after ten laps and more than two and a hald hours of racing, he crossed the finish line with a winning margin of over six minutes.

Billy Bolt finished second, with Toby Shaw taking third one lap behind.

Speaking after the race, Mitch described the victory as “a nice little warm-up for Sweden next week.”

Next Stop: Sweden

The timing of the victory couldn’t be better, with Mitch now turning his attention back to the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.

He heads to Forza Orza at Orsa Grönklitt in Sweden, taking place from 20-22 August, sitting second in the World Championship standings.

With 75 points, Mitch is currently 13 points behind championship leader Manuel Lettenbichler, making the Swedish round another important opportunity in his first 2026 campaign.

As proud sponsors of Mitch, we’ll be following his progress closely as the championship continues.

Congratulations on another brilliant result, Mitch – and good luck in Sweden!
