Chater Lea Blackburne 350 OHV ‘Sport’

The Chater Lea Blackburne 350 OHV ‘Sport’

The Chater Lea Blackburne 350 OHV ‘Sport’ is a rare and exceptional example of early 1920s motorcycling, known for its superior craftsmanship and innovative design.

Believed to have been first registered in Clerkenwell, London, in 1925 with the registration ‘XO 6871’, this bike holds a significant place in motorcycling history.

It was featured in the 1974 edition of Eric Thomson’s seminal book, Motorcycles in Colour, where the highly desirable Binks Mousetrap carburettor can be clearly seen in the accompanying photographs.

The bike spent many years on display at the National Motorcycle Museum, where its exceptional quality and heritage were celebrated.

Tragically, it was damaged in the infamous 2003 fire but was subsequently restored to its former glory by the museum’s expert team.

Relatively lightweight and undeniably elegant, the Chater Lea Blackburne 350 OHV ‘Sport’ is a beautifully designed, sporting motorcycle from the early 1920s.

Its rarity and pedigree make it a standout piece for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to own a rare piece of motorcycling history.

Viewing is highly recommended to appreciate its exceptional quality and craftsmanship in person.

UK and worldwide delivery options are available.
