1976 Suzuki RE-5 A Rotary
The 1976 Suzuki RE-5 A Rotary is a striking and highly significant motorcycle, finished in black and UK registered. Prior to arriving in Europe, this example spent part of its life in Mulberry, Indiana.Â
The RE-5 was a major engineering achievement for Suzuki. While other Japanese manufacturers explored Wankel rotary motorcycles only at prototype stage, Suzuki alone brought a rotary-powered machine to market.
Produced from 1974 to 1976, around 6,000 examples were built, making these turbine-smooth machines a rare sight in the UK today.Â
This example has undergone a full and comprehensive refresh, including the critical rotary compartments. All work was carried out by Roger Jones, widely regarded as the leading authority on the Suzuki RE-5, and is fully documented with supporting photographs.Â
UK and worldwide delivery options are available.Â
