1974 Ducati 750 GT

1974 Ducati 750 GT

The Ducati 750 GT is a highly sought-after classic, and original UK models like this are becoming increasingly hard to find. First registered on 1st May 1974, this iconic machine represents a pivotal moment in Ducati’s history as their first attempt at building a ‘superbike’.

Introduced in 1971, the 750 GT laid the foundation for Ducati’s legendary V-twin motorcycles. Its significance was cemented in 1972 when the late Paul Smart achieved an iconic victory at the Imola 200 – an incredible feat given that Ducati had only been producing V-twins for two years.

By the end of the GT’s production run in late 1974, Ducati unveiled the 750 SS ‘green frame’, now regarded as the most desirable bevel-drive twin ever built, commanding six-figure prices in today’s market.

This 750 GT has undergone an extraordinary nut-and-bolt restoration, with the majority of the work carried out by renowned specialists at Made in Italy Motorcycles. With invoices totalling an impressive £18,000, the restoration showcases impeccable attention to detail, ensuring the bike not only looks stunning but rides beautifully.

Lovingly enjoyed on the occasional warm summer evening, this Ducati 750 GT is as exhilarating to ride as it is to admire. Letting it go will be bittersweet, but as the saying goes, ‘you can’t keep them all’.

This beautifully restored Ducati 750 GT offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of motorcycling history, blending performance, craftsmanship and heritage.

UK and worldwide shipping options are available.
