1937 Norton 500 Model 30 ‘International’
1937 Norton 500 Model 30 ‘International’
This exceptional overhead cam Norton Model 30 was dispatched from Bracebridge Street, Birmingham, on 24th June 1937.
It was delivered directly to Keep Brothers in South Africa, where it remained in the Durban area until 2008.
On returning to the UK, the bike underwent a total and comprehensive restoration, bringing it back to its original factory specification.
Every detail is correct, with matching numbers for the gearbox, front forks, frame, and engine – just as it left the Norton factory in 1937.
The mechanical restoration was entrusted to Stu Rogers, widely regarded as the world’s leading Norton International specialist.
Every other aspect of the rebuild has been completed to an exceptional standard, resulting in a motorcycle that is in truly astonishing condition.
During the 1930s, the factory Norton team dominated the racing scene, with legendary riders Stanley Woods and Jimmie Guthrie becoming household names.
This ‘pie crust’ cammy Norton is a stunning example of that golden era.
Viewing is essential to appreciate the quality and heritage of this remarkable machine.
UK and worldwide delivery options are available.
