The Moto Guzzi Collection
Moto Guzzi holds a distinctive place in motorcycling history – a marque defined by its unmistakable transverse V-twin engine, Italian craftsmanship and a century of continuous production from Mandello del Lario.
The Birth of Moto Guzzi
Founded in Mandello del Larioin 1921 by Carlo Guzzi and Giorgio Parodi, Moto Guzzi quickly established itself as one of Italy’s most technically ambitious motorcycle manufacturers. From the outset, engineering innovation sat at the centre of the marque’s identity.Â
Early racing success shaped the company’s reputation, with Moto Guzzi becoming one of the most successful European manufacturers in Grand Prix competition during the mid-twentieth century.Â
Defined by its distinctive transverse V-twin engine architecture and enduring production from the shores of Lake Como, Moto Guzzi developed a character unlike any other – mechanical, architectural and unmistakably Italian.
An Enduring Presence
For over a century, Moto Guzzi has remained in continuous production – a rarity in the motorcycle world. While eras and ownership have evolved, the marque’s defining transverse V-twin architecture has remained central to its identity.Â
Collectors value earlier machines for their innovation and competition heritage, while later models demonstrate a careful evolution rather than reinvention. Few manufacturers have preserved such a distinct engineering character across generations.
